It is now the end of our course and time for you to take the ATI proctored exam. Please remember the test taking strategies that we have focused on. Remember that it is necessary to obtain a "Level 2" in order to successfully pass this course, however, everybody has excelled during this course and I feel that there is going to be great success on this evaluation. You all have done an outstanding job with your assignments, presentations, and projects. I am impressed with the progress that each and every one of you has made. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I will see you tomorrow for the ATI and then our "carry-in" for some fun!! :)

Mock Panel Interviews
Mock Panel Interviews are on Monday, September 13. Watch these videos to gain a few pointers to impress our panel of employers. Remember to bring multiple copies of your resume which should be printed on resume paper. Dress is professional (suit, tie, dress, hosiery, etc). REMEMBER you only get ONE first impression.....Make it count. Remember to have good eye contact, confidence, and smile. Don't use a lot of hand gestures when you speak. We will continue working on interview questions in the last 10 of class until Mocks. Being prepared will help you appear confident and will also help with the normal feeling of anxiety. This is a fun experience that actually may give you an opportunity for a job offer as our panel of interviewers frequently hire student nurses from this exercise.
As always, let me know if you have any questions.

Learning APA to write your papers
Hello Everybody,
After our discussion today on APA, it appears that many of you still don't feel comfortable with utilizing APA. Click the title of this blog and it will take you to the OWL at Purdue which will assist with APA formatting. Be careful about some of the free APA templates that you can download as many will send you in the wrong direction. For the most precise information on how to do APA, you really could benefit from purchasing the APA Guide (American Psychological Association, 6th edition)...please remember that I have offered to look over your rough-draft and give guidance any time you need.
